Voting Fever

Senator Johnny Isakson

Dear Senator Johnny Isakson,

How are you? I am fine, although I must admit that I have voting fever. I don't want to make an uneducated decision, so I was hoping you could answer some questions. I've included a self-addressed stamped envelope for your reply. I hope to hear from you soon!

Sincerely,
Voting Citizen Jay Carlson

Questionnaire:

1) When you vote, do you vote for yourself? (Y or N)

2) What about if you're not a candidate for that position? Do you still vote for yourself? (Y or N)

Thank you! Please mail this slip back to me in the S.A.S.E.

Dear Jay:

Thank you for writing me regarding some of the questions you want answered. I can help you on the first one, but I am not sure exactly what you are asking me on the second one. You asked if I vote for myself. I think any candidate who runs for public office should think he or she is the most qualified person for  the job. You should not get into the race if you do not think you can do the best. I have always voted for the person I thought would best represent the citizens of our state so, yes, I vote for myself.

Sincerely,
Johnny Isakson

Dear Johnny Isakson,

Thank you for your reply! I enjoyed reading about your interest in politics and what drives you to do what you do. Wow, that last sentence was bad, but you get what I'm saying. I have one follow-up question, though. Is that really your signature on my letter or is it from a stamp? It smears like it's a real signature, but I can never tell.

Thank you!
Jay Carlson/The Plug
